Gothic Bar by Khosla Associates

Gothic Bar by Khosla Associates 1

Khosla Associates have designed the “Gothic Bar” in Hyderabad, India. The color palette is deliberately stark. Monotones of copper and dark champagne are offset with certain facets in bronzed mirror. The sofas, single seaters and tables are angled and faceted in keeping with the aesthetic of the outer shell.

Sharp edges of the faceted walls are softened by the luxury of padded fabric.
Slivers of dimmable led light emanate from within translucent resin strips
moulded on the edged of all the facets. The pre-programmable led light has the ability to change colour altering the mood of the space.

Prisms like projections are played on the triangulated wall behind the dj counter.
The flooring is seamless, a bronze vinyl, and the ceiling reflects the same faceted shapes as the walls. The intent was to evoke the feeling  of bieng inside the heart of a diamond.

Home Interior Project by Rajiv Saini

Home Interior Project by Rajiv Saini

Even in these modern times, most parents in india like to have their kids stay with them together,if space permits. With such an intent, this house in new delhi was built about a decade ago, with the second floor left unoccupied. When the son was getting married last year, we got involved in creating a space for him and his new bride.

The approximately 2500 sq feet of space and 3 bedrooms were more than what the couple needed. We tore down a spare bedroom to make space for a grand master suite, which on one end (at the couple’s request) has a modern version of a traditional indian ‘gadda’,which is essentially a large mattress to sit informally on and spend time together.

A living room with a compact dining (and a tiny walk-in pantry, no more than a mere 6 feet x 6 feet) area was created for them to entertain their personal friends on their floor. Large Screens cut out of solid blocks of black granite separate this area from the rest of the family house. A large master bath and dresser has been fitted out in onyx and a beige granitalo marble, while the living and bedroom have teak wood and a deep brown Spanish marble.

Manchester Civil Justice Centre Building

Manchester Civil Justice Centre Building 1

This new manchester civil justice centre building is a great architectural building that symbolize the open and accessible character of the civil justice system designed by Denton Corker Marshall. The building completion was done in 2007 with Associate Company Mott MacDonald as the structural engineer of this Manchester’s new courts.

The core function, the dispensing of justice in court and hearing rooms, is expressed by housing them in a band of accommodation that is cantilevered out beyond the building’s basic footprint, thereby creating a strong sculptural facade over the entrance to the north and over a public square to the south. Standing in the atrium and looking up through its ten floors, the visitor is greeted by a fantastic sculptural composition of floors, beams and cantilevered pods to rival any cathedral roof. High-level clerestories bounce daylight into the courtrooms in the very heart.

VIP Lounge Room by Erich Gassmann and Tina Aßmann

VIP Lounge Room

VIP Lounge Room

The VIP lounge is a modern implementation of a special identity, skillfully uniting progress and tradition. It can be experienced with all the senses: haptically – in the use of native woods, typical Bavarian materials such as loden, felt, leather, and broad oak planks; and visually – with maximum use of daylight, selective views of the famous white and blue Bavarian sky, and the proposed beer garden.

And the result? An island of peace and tranquility in the turbulent working day, a snatch of holiday between appointments, a perfect work oasis equipped with the latest technology, international flair with a Bavarian accent.

In the south wing of Terminal 1, guests have 1,200 square meters at their disposal, consisting of four separately usable suites, a central lounge area with gastronomy, business corner, and separate workrooms, rest area, showers and changing facilities, an interdenominational prayer room, as well as a smoking corner. The room conveys a feeling of the alpine mountain world. The falling and rising room recesses determine the conception of the room. The requirements on material and workmanship are manifested at different levels – from the oak-clad doors with their hand-finished brass fittings, the solid wooden tables carved from a tree trunk, to the sensual experience of the fragrant Swiss pine in the relaxation room.

Futuristic Apartment Interior Design

Futuristic Apartment Interior Design 1

This apartment I’d like to talk about, is one of the example. Interior of this apartment was dominated by white and elegant dark grey colors, yet those colors don’t distract us from the owner’s pieces of art collection – some pictures and some colorful huge pieces of art on the wall – inside the apartment.

The classic antiques are blend perfectly with the contemporary design of the apartment. The apartment is also filled with many furniture with art touches. Some of those furniture are a white table called Tulip, a fantastic wooden sideboard and an armchair-throne in the living room, sculptural chairs and armchairs, an unusual chaise long in the masters’ bedroom. With all the features, this apartment creates a cozy, elegant, and luxurious atmosphere at the same time.
